How to Order: Once you place your order, we will follow up to obtain your high-resolution photo of your pet and their name. For the best engraving results, photos with clear lighting and a high contrast between your pet and the background are recommended.

The Crafting Process: To ensure the highest quality engraving, we review and prep every photo to capture your pet’s unique features. Because of this level of detail, current turnaround time is 10–14 business days after a high-quality photo is received. 📸 Choosing the Perfect Photo for Your Custom Portrait

To get that stunning, lifelike detail you see in our wood-engraved portraits, the quality of your photo is key. Here are a few tips to help you pick the right one:

✅ The “Golden Rules” for a Great Engraving

• High Resolution: Use original photos from your phone or camera. Avoid screenshots or photos saved from social media, as they lose the crisp detail the laser needs.
• Good Lighting: Natural, outdoor light or a bright room works best. Avoid heavy shadows or “yellow” indoor lighting that hides your pet’s features.
• Eye Level is Best: A photo taken at your pet’s eye level (rather than looking down at them) creates a much more engaging and soulful portrait.
• High Contrast: Photos where your pet’s fur color stands out from the background result in a much cleaner, more “popping” engraving.

❌ What to Avoid

• Blurry or Out-of-Focus: If the eyes aren’t sharp in the photo, they won’t be sharp in the wood.
• Distance: Try to use a photo where your pet’s head and chest take up most of the frame.
• Cut-off Features: Make sure those adorable ears or the top of the head aren’t cut off by the edge of the photo!
