1. Precision Laser Design
Every sign begins with a high-resolution, custom digital file. We meticulously design each layer to ensure a perfect fit, translating your vision into a blueprint for the laser. This time-intensive setup is what guarantees the clean lines and crisp details in the final product.
2. Sourcing Premium Material
We use only the highest quality 1/8″ or 1/4″ Baltic Birch Plywood, TruFlat plywood or other high quality materials as appropriate for the intricate top layers and a durable backer for the base. This material is specifically chosen for its smooth surface, strength, and ability to be cut with precision by our laser, resulting in a clean, professional finish with minimal charring.
3. Laser Cutting and Engraving
The design is cut on a laser, a piece of equipment that provides accuracy a human hand simply cannot replicate. This process is the most time-consuming step and is essential to achieving the 3D layered look of your sign.
4. Preparation and Staining
Each component is carefully sanded by hand to smooth and prepare the surface. Depending on the design, we may then apply premium wood stains to to create a rich, deep colour, and sometimes use wood stains or specialized paints for the lighter top pieces, ensuring the perfect contrast.
5. Detailed Assembly
The sign is built layer by layer. We use strong adhesive to bond the individual pieces together, creating the beautiful, multi-dimensional effect that makes our signs stand out. This is a delicate process that requires patience and precision alignment. For items that will be displayed outdoors, a protective sealer may be applied. 6. Quality Check and Packaging
Your item is fitted with quality hanging hardware (such as a rope or hook) or a stand (when requested, at an additional small cost) and undergoes a final inspection. We package it carefully, knowing you’ll be excited to open and display your new piece of art.
